First, he pitched in the WBC and starters seem to start the MLB season slow after they pitch in that tourney. Second, Perez always starts out slow. But he's great to have on the staff if only b/c he pitches great in big-time games. I'll take his inconsistency in meaningless June games for pitching great when the Mets need him to in Sept and Oct.
